A Few Words About Us.
Coming from a family that owned many adult-care homes, Larry & Patti Matyas had always dreamed of having their own assisted living center to continue the family tradition.
In 1994, after many years of visiting homes across the state of Arizona and having parents approaching the age-of-need for assisted living, Larry came up with the design for an Assisted Living Facility, now called the Carriage House on West Garden Lane.
Patti decided that after visiting homes where residents all share a bathroom, the Carriage House would have bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
The loving tradition now continues with Samuel & Reah Matyas.
Located in Northern Arizona’s beautiful Town of Snowflake, across the highway from The Snowflake Municipal Golf Course and the Snowflake LDS Temple, The Carriage House provides Assisted Living in a peaceful "country setting".
Just off the front porch, lined with rocking chairs, you'll be tempted to pick a golden delicious apple from the massive tree and a handful of grandma's will be smiling, shaking their fingers at you and saying "Now-now, remember what happened to Eve."
The birds just love that tree and perform many-a-feathered symphonies from its branches. The Robins have taken year-round residency there. As a matter-of-fact, The Carriage House is nestled amongst many trees; cottonwoods, poplar, apple, cherry, plum, willow, elm and pine. And just outside the courtyard you'll be delighted with the baby ducks in the pond.
Our extended family members love to see the hummingbirds feed at the windows during early morning breakfast and on occasion a wild rabbit scampers across the lawn.
As you walk through the front door into the living room you can't help but notice how peaceful......and the laughter..... and then you'll know why everyone wants their mom and dad to live here.
The Carriage House on West Garden Lane is known as "the finest" Assisted Living Center of its kind in Arizona.
